Tady Walsh is a web developer and photographer based in Dublin, Ireland. When he was a little boy, he dreamed of being an astronaut.
I was born in Limerick, Ireland and after extensive travel around Europe, settled in Dublin in 2000 to work in the booming Internet industry. After working with webBusters (renamed to Interactive Return and now part of Radical) as their Senior Web Developer for 2 years, I returned to college at night to complete a degree in Information Technology at Dublin Institute of Technology. Graduating with an honours degree in 2006, I started work with Arekibo Communications in January 2007 where I am still employed. I now work as a Project Manager (specialising in Information Architect, User Experience and User Interaction, i.e. IA & UX/UI).
I also have a keen interest in photography. My family background is based in the arts and as a result, this has affected my photography and interest in it to produce abstract works. I had my first solo show in November 2010 in Limerick and hope to continue to take and show my work.
I’m a big fan of rugby (one of the very few sports I’m interested in) and as a result have played for CYM Rugby in Dublin from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, I became a member of the Association of Referees Leinster Branch (ARLB) and continued to referee after I hung up my playing boots. Being born in Limerick, I am of course a Munster man first, but I enjoy refereeing in Dublin.
I was married in 2009 in Montenegro to my beautiful bride, Milena. My hobbies are many and varied. I love to read, listen to music and watch movies. I’d like to know how to make (really good) music and how to make movies. I’m also going to try and launch a balloon with a camera in it to the edge of space.
It’s good to dream right?
